Robert J. Soper: Education

Robert J. Soper studied abroad at Oxford University in 1993. His coursework covered Western European Political Systems and Contemporary Global Issues, and he graduated with his Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from the University of Georgia in 1994. He then graduated with his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia Law with honors in 1997 before beginning his now-thriving career. Robert J. Soper currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Sun Gaming & Hospitality in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Robert J. Soper was appointed President and CEO of Mohegan Sun at Pocono—a casino entertainment complex in Plains, Pennsylvania—in February 2005. As leader of the Pocono property, Soper oversaw the successful launch of the first casino to ever open in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Soper also oversaw several successful property expansions during his tenure, which included the unveiling of 2,500 additional gaming positions, six onsite restaurants, two entertainment venues and countless retail and nightlife amenities.
