Robert J. Soper founded Sun Gaming & Hospitality (SG&H) in Fort Lauderdale, FL, in 2017. He has more than two decades of direct industry experience and a reputation among peers for his repeated successes with companies like Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.



Mr. Soper served as the President and CEO of Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. He implemented systems that empowered employees while improving accountability and profitability. His plan resulted in better guest service scores, higher productivity, stronger margins, and rising EBITDA. Mohegan Sun also became one of two gaming companies to receive "Forbes Best Places to Work” during his tenure.

Robert J. Soper was appointed President and CEO of Mohegan Sun at Pocono—a casino entertainment complex in Plains, Pennsylvania—in February 2005. As leader of the Pocono property, Soper oversaw the successful launch of the first casino to ever open in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Soper also oversaw several successful property expansions during his tenure, which included the unveiling of 2,500 additional gaming positions, six onsite restaurants, two entertainment venues and countless retail and nightlife amenities.
